Question: Where did the idea of this book come from?
Amber: Believe it or not, it came from a dream. It was so
real and I was terrified. When I woke up, I wrote it all down and looked at it. A light bulb went on inside my mind and I
began planning the story line. When I actually started writing, the plans went out the window and a totally new story emerged
but I'm happy with the way it turned out.
Question: How long did it take you to write this one?
Amber: The actual full process began in 2005. I was working on other books at the time so I put it on the back burner.
Then in October of 2006, I sat down at my computer and began writing. I couldn't believe how the story just fell out of my
finger tips. It took less than a month to actually write it.
Question: Who is the audience for this book?
Amber: It is intended for men and women who are mature. Some of the content is not for the younger crowd. If you can
handle a good horror story you should be all right but just be careful anyway. I wouldn't want my children to read this right
now but when they are older (adults, maybe), I'd be proud to see them reading it.
Question: What could someone learn from this book?
Amber: To never give up. Donna, the main character, gave up many times but there was always a reason she couldn't. Whether
it was because she couldn't die or Agent Jack Green pulling her out of her trance. Either way, people should never give up.
Question: Do you plan on writing other books like this one?
Amber: Yea, I think I would. I had fun with this story, knowing that it might be something that Stephen King would write.
I've always wanted to write like him, scaring the pants off someone. I love a good horror, so I think I will write more in
that category but I want to write in other genres as well.
Question: When you learned this book was getting published, how did you react?
Amber: I was overjoyed. To think someone gave me a chance to be an author. That really gives a person a special feeling.
My lifelong dream of being an author had finally came true. I'm still in a daze over it like I'm in shock or something. Everytime
someone tells me how great the book was for them, I almost get tears from being so happy. It is a great feeling knowing I
have achieved something great.
